It is hard to ascertain, but approx $500,000 has been raised in addition to food supplements, medical supplies, farm machinery, teaching aids, teacher training and computer technology. Continuing to offer support to entire communities requires great commitment, hard work and courage!

2008
- Crackerjack fundraiser 2nd March to raise funds to complete the Community garden and playground for Sr Aurora?s Kindergarten.
- Continue the Teacher education program.
- Publication of the first textbooks for children in Tetum (their native tongue).
- Fundraiser ?Schools Idol? with MLC to assist Mana Lu to refurbish her clinics in Vique que, Betano and Tibar.
- Fundraiser organised with the Event Management students at William Angliss Institute of TAFE ?Sail on the 7 Seas.
- Youth member of GOYA, Cathy Rowe, travels to Dili to complete work experience in the Dili hospital.
- Hundreds of sheet sets sent to Dili for Mnalu?s hospices.
2007
- Hugely successful GOYA youth event at the Melbourne Aquarium and we welcome many new members!
- Assisted ETDA with the purchase of cake decorating equipment to run vocational classes for unemployed women
- Gala Fundraising Event at William Angliss Institute to coincide with the visit of the Timorese teachers.
- 5 Timorese teachers visited Melbourne for six weeks on a rotation to observe and learn about early child hood teaching and development.
- A visit from Jennifer Mondia in October ? GOYA gave financial assistance to Jennifer enabling her to finalise the office development of the Office of Status of Women. Jennifer continues her work with HIV/AIDS vulnerable women and children.
2006
- Planned trip to Timor with a group of University students was cancelled due to the crisis that occurred in April
- Planning commences for the inaugural ?Splash of Compassion? at the Melbourne Aquarium on the 23rd February 2007 by the GOYA Youth Committee
- Planning for Sister Aurora to send several Primary School teacher?s to Australia for training (postponed to 2007 due to crisis)
- Successful HIV/AIDS workshops in PNG
- Felicity and Jill both visit to update the various projects, meet with our friends and offer monetary and spiritual support.
- Manalu?s Open House Project has been completed and is sheltering and caring for 100 poor people and those recovering or dying from TB and their families; planning for two more in remote locations
- Palmira?s building is finished at ETDA but more needs to be done to deliver classes
- Major fundraiser at the Hawthorn Town Hall on the 1st September

- GOYA Youth - Gala Function at Melbourne Aquarium – “Splash of Compassion” on the 26th February 2006 from 7.00pm – Details on the website.
- On March 8, the MLC community held an International Women’s Day breakfast to celebrate the impact and importance of women. Details on the website.
- May Function – A casual evening where you have the opportunity to Meet the Committee and learn more about your Foundation on the 22nd May 7.00pm-9.00pm Wine and Cheese Evening at QPO (address) $10-00 donation, includes wine tastings sponsored by Austins and cheese tasting from Will Studd at the Calendar Cheese company. We encourage you to bring along like minded friends who are interested in making a difference to the lives of women.
- AGM – Wednesday the 26th July at 7.30 pm – 10.30pm Guest Speaker Dr Hamish Ewing who will talk about his experiences as a volunteer surgeon in Dili hospital Timor Leste.
- Gala Dinner and Auction – 1st September 7.00pm-11.00pm with Special Guest speaker Stephanie Alexander, ‘Gardens for Life’.
- Christmas Breakfast – In the beautiful gardens of ‘Tay Creggan’ in Hawthorn, further details TBA
2005
- Visit to accompany Jill Forsyth, Vice President of GOYA to document projects and record new developments.
- Official Launch of GOYA Foundation on 5th May 2005
- Proposed new project: Hiam Health Centre, Dili under the voluntary direction of Rosaria da Cruz to promote infant health and development
- In June, Felicity takes the second group of students to visit the Little Brothers and Sisters'

- Felicity is the recipient of the Humanitarian Award for an Individual awarded by the Altruism Foundation
2004
- Felicity takes the Head of Senior School and group of Students to visit East Timor in June.
- Fund Raising Lunch on August 5th and raised $15,000.
- June 9th marks the official Incorporation of the GOYA Foundation,
established by Felicity Fraser in an effort to raise awareness of the need to assist women in developing countries and develop systematic fundraising for the projects undertaken which now include:
- The Little Brothers and Sisters Institute under the direction of the founder, Sister Lourdes de Cruz (Mana Lu)
- The on going assistance to the development of the pre-primaria (Kindergarten in Dili) under the direction of Sister Aurora Pires
- The establishment of an Office for Status of Women in PNG (Highlands Region) under the direction of Jennifer Mondia
- Assist the East Timor Development Agency under the direction of Palmira Pires to provide training for young women, who for various reasons are unable to complete their education, with training so that they can earn a living.
2003
- Second Fundraising Lunch and Auction.
- Huge effort from Sally Cunningham and the Committee: baby clothes; film night; instruments; hampers and more.
- First meetings with Jennifer Mondia a woman from Goroka in the Highlands of PNG who was studying in Australia, leaving her husband and some children behind in her efforts to establish an Office for the Status of Women (Highlands Region) in PNG. Assisted her with relocation costs and equipment supplied to assist her efforts.
- Successfully approached Clayton Utz to assist in the establishment of a foundation pro-bono.
- Felicity receives a Peace Builders Award by the Australian Government.
2002
- First Fundraising Lunch and Auction.
- Fourth visit in order to document the progress of our work and develop an itinerary and program to take students in the near future.
- First meeting with Sister Aurora Pires a Canossian nun who is developing a kindergarten according to the principles of the Emilio Romagna principles of early childhood development. We are now assisting her program.
- Senior School initiative to adopt the Institute as their significant international community to support. East Timor Prefect and committee formed.
- Contributions from student efforts included hampers to auction: fashion parade; musical instruments; school supplies and more.
2001
Third visit taking computer and early childhood teachers to assist in establishing sustainable programs
2000
- Second Great Chefs Dinner.
- Purchase of tractor and tools.
- Second visit and meeting with Steve Blundell (Guitars for Timor).
- 'Toys for Timor' campaign to start a kinder in Dare
1999
- Ballot for independence and consequent 'scorched earth' disaster.
- 'Tins for Timor' campaign sending a container of food and goods.
- First 'Great Chefs Dinner' and purchase of the promised truck.
- Further funds raised by public speaking which purchased a motor bike for the local Doctor, also some agricultural equipment.
1998
First visit to East Timor carrying money, fabric for clothing, seeds, letters and documents.
1997
- Felicity's first association with Melbourne's Timorese Community was a meeting with Marga Pires a close friend and supporter of Mana Lu (the founder of the Maun Alin Iha Kristu Institute of Timor Leste) at MLC when she cooked beautiful Timorese food for a small group of staff members and shared the plight of the Timorese in East Timor and the efforts of those in the Diaspora in order to gain global attention and achieve self determination.
- The idea was discussed that we could assist the community by providing them with a truck. A seed was sown and the 'Wheels for Mana Lu' campaign was born. This project is now being assisted by the MLC Senior School and is known as 'The Little Brothers and Sisters' project.
- Felicity applied for the MLC Parents Association Study Grant to visit and work with the community in Timor Leste to develop a relationship between the two communities. She was awarded the Grant and proceeded to plan her visit.
- Several campaigns were launched in order to meet some of the basic needs of the community.
